NetNotify

Computing Services uses the NetNotify system to email you if your computer is found to be causing a problem on the network or vulnerable to some attack. The email you receive will be from 'abuse@andrew.cmu.edu' and will contain instructions on what you must do to alleviate the problem.

Depending on the incident type, there may be a link to the NetNotify web page in the email you receive. NetNotify provides an interface for you to alert Computing Services that you've completed the necessary steps to correct the problem. In many cases, by using this return notification, you may prevent your machine from being removed from the network.

Note: If your machine has already been removed from the network, you will need to access NetNotify from a machine that has a valid connection to request that your connection be restored.

Important! Mail received from abuse@andrew.cmu.edu will NEVER include an attachment.
