Hearing Impaired Telephone Access

Telecom, in conjunction with Everett Tademy, Director of the Carnegie Mellon Equal Opportunity Program, has installed a Text Telephone Display (TTD) payphone in Cyert Hall on the A level inside the Forbes Avenue entrance (near the vending machines). This special facility allows the hearing impaired to place calls without any prior arrangements at any time of the day.

Relay service information for communicating with hearing impaired persons is available through the campus telephone operators. For assistance on campus please dial "0". For assistance off campus please dial 268-2000.
