Connecting to the Network

Our network, dubbed “Andrew” in honor of our benefactors Andrew Carnegie and Andrew Mellon supports both wired and wireless connections. The wireless network blankets the campus, spanning millions of square feet and connecting 56,000 devices. For our wireless connections, we use 802.11n technologies to achieve speeds upwards of 100Mbps. Our wired network links residence halls and campus offices with a 10Gbs core data network.
