University Address Book

The LDAP directory service provides address book functionality to retrieve Carnegie Mellon e-mail names and addresses quickly from the server. Follow these steps to add the University Address Book in Entourage:

Note:  The images may differ slightly according to the version of your operating system.

1. Select Tools > Accounts. Select the Directory Service tab, and click New.
   
   

2. On the Account Settings tab, complete the following fields:
   • Account Name: CMU Person Search
   • LDAP server: ldap.cmu.edu
   • Do not select "This server requires me to log on."
3. Select the Options tab and enter the following in the Search base field:
   Search base (no spaces): dc=cmu,dc=edu
4. Click OK.
