Overview

Throughout the past year, Computing Services has shared background and extended implementation plans regarding the introduction of Microsoft Exchange Email and Calendar for faculty, staff and graduate students at the Pittsburgh campus. Although the transition to Exchange email is transparent to those outside a department, calendar scheduling is less seamless.

If you are using Oracle Calendar and attempt to schedule a meeting with someone who has tranisitioned to Exchange, a message similar to the following appears:

As individual departments transition to Exchange Calendar, those outside of the group will need to adapt their calendaring processes. Likewise, those who have transitioned to Exchange will need to modify their routine when scheduling with others who are using Oracle Calendar.
