Education and Outreach

Education & Outreach strives to support Computing Services’ information technology (IT) infrastructure by providing high quality computing education to the campus community, as well as offering meaningful opportunities for community feedback that informs the Computing Services division decision making process.

Education & Outreach enhances the computing experience of the campus community by providing the following services:

  1. Faculty and Staff Education for supported infrastructure, division-developed or deployed software e.g., electronic mail and calendar.
  2. Education for incoming students (Computing@Carnegie Mellon) that is intended to introduce available computing resources, raise awareness on safe computing practices and inform them of their responsibilities as users in our computing community.
  3. Outreach with campus to gather user requirements and relevant opinions to inform Computing Services’ strategic plan and projects.
