Karen 
- considering doing a post-mortem in Nov.  What worked?  What didn't?  What should we fix next time?  (Forum or here?)	
o We will do this in the January Forum.
- FMS is having restricted bboard problem, and cmu-news might have the same one
o there are only a small number of bboards on campus that have the problem.  they use protection for posting, and it's an issue 
o we are working directly with those affected

Louis
- moving over more of my faculty.  I still have holdouts.  I have people who have told me that they won't move until right up against the deadline
- MS lets you customize your forms but then doesn't let you deploy them (unless you're a visual basic expert).  
- I have people who are eager to do it, but they don't have the time.
- a user was having big problems, but they turned out not to be Outlook, but a general problem with the whole machine.  we reformatted and reinstalled.
o She had heavy customization and we tried to export her settings so we could replace them later.  That didn't work.  It really made me miss the Mulberry preference files.
o People are going to want all the other Outlook features and go Exchange.
- Password-protecting Entourage?
o Yerin - This is supposed to be a feature, according to MS.   You can manually expunge the cache.  The other option is if you use individual accounts on the Mac and log out or protect the screensaver.
- Followup - with the problem where sentmail doesn't get saved because the rule turns off
o Karen - we've talked to MS, but also our Documentation folks are working on a workaround 
* as of Nov 15, the workaround is tested and documented as "Option B" at  http://www.cmu.edu/computing/documentation/outlook_adv/outlook_adv.html#sentmail 
* we believe Outlook 2007 will fix the bug in Option A.

Curt 
- we had an issue with people being told about multiple users on machines.  4 staff in the same session agreed that they were told this
- Gretchen was going to get back to me on whether we can set not-expunge-on-delete, since that's a big problem for us

Melanie 
- the report you gave us was wonderful
- about 10-12 people on the list have migrated since then, so that was good


Kim 
- are we talking to Microsoft at all?   Do they know we're going Outlook/Entourage?
- We have a user who has been having a lot of weird issues, but most people are OK.
- Called the HC, got told "well, Outlook's just buggy."
o Clay - I slapped some wrists on that one!
- We had a problem this morning of someone being unable to delete particularly obnoxious spam (in Entourage).  
o Yerin - there's a problem where you get duplicate headers, so maybe rebuilding the database would help.  Hold down option key while starting up Entourage.
* Karen - can we get the rebuilding database and the message list to the FAQ?

Corrine 
- there's a per-folder setting for a view that doesn't stick
o Clay - come see me & show me.

Clay 
- Apple Mail is not supported, but more people are using it & getting hit with bandwidth violations because if you don't have it configured properly, it DLs everything from bboards to your machine.
o Karen - we should document that and put it in Contributed docs  (who can do this?) - ask for a volunteer...
