Edit an Entry
When you double-click an Entry (Meeting, Day Event, or Daily Note) that you proposed, the Edit Entry page appears. If you select an entry that you did not propose, the View Entry page displays with the reply fields displayed (see the View and Open Entry section). You can only edit Entries that you proposed.
Follow these steps to edit an Entry that you proposed:
- Double-click the Entry (Meeting, Day Event, or Daily Note).
- When you edit the time of a meeting that you proposed and other attendees are involved, the changes you make will automatically appear in their Agendas as well.
Add People to an Existing Recurring Meeting
Follow these steps to add people to an already existing recurring meeting:
- Open the Edit Meeting page for the recurring meeting.
- Select the People/Resources tab and add people as usual.
- Click Update All to add the new people to all occurrences of the meeting.
View/Respond to an Entry
To view more information about an agenda entry, follow these steps:
- Double-click a Meeting or Daily Note to view a description (see the Recognizing Invitee Icons section).
- If you proposed the meeting, the Edit Meeting page appears. If you did not propose the meeting, the View Entry page appears.
- To Reply to an Entry, open the entry and complete the Your Reply field on the General tab.
Note: Once you have replied to an Entry, your Agenda will place it in the appropriate In-tray folder as an Entry you have either accepted or refused.
- Select how you would like the meeting time to appear in your agenda by selecting either Free or Busy from the Show time as drop-down list. For example, if you are not going to attend the meeting but do not want others to book you during that time, you can combine the I will not attend response with Show time as: Busy. Oracle Calendar's "Check conflicts" or "Suggest date/time" features recognize this as free time; however, others who simply view your Agenda may not realize that the time is actually free.
Change a Response/Delete an Event
To change your response to an event, follow these steps:
- From the Agenda page, double-click the meeting. The View Meeting page appears.
- From the General tab, select the appropriate response from the Your reply drop-down list. Click Update to close the window.
- If you responded that you will not attend, and the meeting / event still appears on your agenda and you don't want it to, do the following:
- Select the Preferences icon.

- The Edit Preferences window appears. Select the Display tab. Under "To be displayed" deselect the option for Declined Meetings.
- Click OK.
To delete a meeting or event, follow these steps:
Note: You can only delete meetings or events that you or someone who you are a designate for have created.
- Select the meeting and then click Delete.
- A confirmation dialog displays. Click Yes if you are sure you want to delete this entry.
Note: If you accidentally delete an event from your calendar, it can be restored from backups, however it is not a simple process and you may lose some of your schedule as well as any recurring meetings. Backups on the Andrew Calendar server are done on a weekly basis. For assistance in this process, call the Help Center at x8-HELP.
