Advanced Step 2: Remove Admin Access from Everyday Accounts

  1. Log into the machine using the admin account created in Advanced Step 1.
  2. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences and click Accounts.
  3. Click the lock icon to make changes.
  4. If prompted, enter the admin userid and password.
  5. Select the first everyday user account and uncheck Allow user to administer this computer.
  6. Repeat step 3 for each everyday user account. DO NOT change the admin account.
  7. Click the lock icon to prevent further changes.
  8. Close the Accounts window to save changes.
  9. Logout of the machine.

Note: If you see accounts that you are not sure about, email Advisor.
