CFA Lending Program

The CFA Cluster (College of Fine Arts) has equipment available for loan to members of the campus community. The CFA Lending office is located at the CFA CCon office: College of Fine Arts building room 322. Lending is available during regular CFA Staffed Hours when classes are in session during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Your activated CMU ID is required for ALL Lending at the CFA CCon office.

How to Activate Your CMU ID for CFA Lending Access

You must apply for Lending before you can check out any items. Any member of the campus community may apply for CFA Lending.

  1. Complete and submit the on-line CFA Lending Access Request Form.
  2. Print and sign this form as instructed upon submitting. You will be notified via email once your submission has been accepted.
  3. Once you are notified, please bring your signed Lending Access Form and your CMU ID to:
    CFA room 320
    Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  4. Your CMU ID will be activated to use for Lending. Your activated CMU ID is required for ALL Lending at the CFA CCon office.

Lending Policies

  • Lending is available during regular CFA Staffed Hours when classes are in session during the Fall and Spring Semesters
    • There is NO Lending during the summer
    • Check with the CCon for schedules during breaks and the beginning of the semester
  • All Monday-Thursday checkouts are due back by 2 p.m. the next business day
  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday checkouts are due back the following Monday by 2 p.m.
  • Reservations are accepted Monday-Friday ONLY
  • Once your CMU ID is activated, it is valid for as long as you are enrolled or employed at Carnegie Mellon University
