Workshops

During the fall and spring semesters, Clusters Services offers free software workshops. Most of these sessions are held in the CFA Multimedia Studio clusters on the third floor of the College of Fine Arts Building.

To participate, please register at the CFA CCon office, room 322, or email cfa-multimedia@andrew.cmu.edu.

• Capturing and Exporting HD/DV Footage in Final Cut Pro
  This 30-minute workshop introduces students to the basics of digital video capturing in Final Cut Pro, along with exporting footage as a QuickTime file.
• Editing Video in Final Cut Pro
  This 30-minute workshop will showcase basic editing and manipulation of captured video in Final Cut Pro, along with simple sound correction.
• Creating a DVD in DVD Studio Pro
  This 30-minute workshop will explain how to set a video up for DVD burning, along with creating a DVD menu and looping tracks in DVD Studio Pro.
• Audio Capture in Logic Pro
  This 30-minute workshop will demonstrate how to use the CFA321 Sound Room recording suite to capture voice/audio in Logic Pro.

Multiple workshops may be combined into a single session. Faculty and staff are also welcome to attend.
