Videoconference Terms & Conditions

Before you fill out the equipment order form, you must agree to the following terms and conditions:

The following Terms and Conditions apply for Media Technology Equipment reservations and usage:
  1. MediaTech offers a videoconference equipment testing and set-up service, and provides classroom help services for Enrollment Service' classrooms. The rates are listed on the order form.
  2. MediaTech does not deliver equipment to classrooms.
  3. Requests for MediaTech staff assistance in the operation of equipment is a chargeable service and must be scheduled in advance.
  4. An account number must be given when the order is placed.
  5. Orders must be placed 72 hours in advance to ensure the availability of the equipment, however videoconferences can be scheduled with as little as 24 hours notice (additional surcharges are listed on the order form).
  6. MediaTech will perform an optional test of the videoconference equipment to the contact number prior to the date of the event. The rate for this test is in addition to the charge for the actual event date, and will be conducted in the same room as the actual event (to be scheduled by the person requesting the service). 
  7. If you choose to waive #6 (the optional test), we encourage a 30 minimum set-up time on the day of the videoconference.  You will be charged for labor, whether or not the endpoints successfully connect for your event.
  8. Fees will be accessed for any damaged or misplaced equipment.
  9. Any delivery order not completed at the agreed to end time will be subject to a $50 additional charge for each unsuccessful attempt made to retrieve the equipment.
  10. DO NOT consider your order placed until you have received an email confirmation!

Payment Methods—Media Technology accepts cash, personal checks (with Carnegie Mellon ID), and University Charge Centers (with authorization).

Refund Policy—Any equipment failures must be reported at return desk or, if delivered, when the technician returns to pickup equipment. If the malfunction is verified, then a refund will be issued.

You must accept these terms and conditions to request equipment from Media Technology.
