Conference & Event Support
For Events: MediaTech provides a wide variety of equipment, from wireless microphones, to sound and projection systems, for events. Technicans are available to deliver and set up your equipment. In addition, at your request, a technician can be scheduled to stay and operate the equipment during the event. Events can occur in the University Center, Posner Center, or in any campus location.
For Videoconferences: Videoconferences can be scheduled anywhere on campus, using ISDN or IP lines. Technicans will deliver and set up the equipment, however you can also request that they be scheduled to stay and operate the equipment. The rooms with a reduced risk of failure in the University Center are:
- For ISDN Videoconferences—Pake; Class of 1987; and Rangos 2
- For IP Videoconferences —McKenna; Wright; Pake; Dowd; Class of 1987; Rangos 1, 2 & 3; and Connan
Please be aware that, if the videoconference is not in the University Center, there may be additional charges to wire the room for the event. MediaTech will execute a required test prior to the actual event. Please reserve the same room for the test and event, but a few days apart. Videoconference requests should be submitted at least 72 hours in advance.
