Primary Laptop Documentation
These instructions are for attaching a single laptop to the lectern equipment. If you would like to attach an additional laptop, please follow the instructions for how to attach a secondary laptop.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- A laptop VGA cable, and audio cable, is provided. If you have a Macintosh computer, you will need to bring a Mac adapter.
- Attach the VGA cable to the port on your computer.
- Select Laptop on the touch screen.

- If the laptop image does not display, do one of the following:
- Reboot your laptop
- Select the “mirror monitor” button on your laptop.
The location of this button will vary. On Macs, it is usally the F7 key. On Windows, it can be any of the function keys. Look for a small square on top of, or next to, a small monitor icon.

- For sound, depending on your classroom type do one of the following:
- Large classrooms and auditoriums (80+ seats), select Sound from Laptop and then continue to the next step.
- Small classrooms (20-80 seats) continue to the next step.
Make sure the laptop sound setting is not too low to be heard or muted.
Note: For your convenience, power outlets are available on the far right side of the auxiliary input panel (under the lectern top).
Accessing the Internet
If you need Internet access, but do not have a wireless card, plug your Ethernet cable into the Campus Network port on the auxiliary panel.
