Video Player Documentation

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Bring VCR and RCA cables to the room.

  2. Attach cables to the back of the VCR.
Using RCA cables (yellow, white and red), plug the yellow cable into the yellow "video out" jack, and the white and red cables into the "audio out" left and right jacks, respectively.

The VCR back panel will vary due to different models, however it should look something like this:

Note: if using Component Video cables
(blue, green, red, plus audio cables) instead, plug the green cable in the "Y" jack, the blue into "Pb" and red into "Pr" jacks. Attach the audio cables into the audio out jacks.

  3. Attach the cables to the auxiliary input panel.
Plug the yellow cable into the "Pb" jack under "Component Video" (on the far left of the panel). Plug the white cable into the "Audio-left" jack (white), and the red into "Audio-right" (red).

Note: for Component Video cables, attach the cables as follows: green into "Y", blue into "Pb" and red into "Pr", and the audio cables into the red and white audio jacks.

  4. Plug the VCR power cord into a power outlet.
For convenience, two power outlets are located on the far right side of the auxiliary input panel.
  5. Turn the VCR on.
  6. Select "Aux (Video) Inputs" on the touch screen.

  7. Select "Composite Video (VCR)".

Note: if using the component cables (green, blue and red), select "Component Video" instead.

  8. Select "Sound from Aux Source".
Volume can be controlled from the touch screen.
  9. Operate the VCR using your remote or the buttons on the VCR.

Note: For the large auditoriums, a small video window will appear on the bottom of the touch screen allowing you to monitor what is being displayed. If you would like a larger view of the monitor window, touch the "View Desktop Computer Full Screen" button on the bottom of the touch screen display.
