Network Guests

Who is eligible: Visitors to campus or individuals attending a demonstration, seminar or meeting who require a temporary userID (90 days or less) for a wired or wireless network connection.

How to request it: Authorized faculty or staff accounts can create a network guest account using the Network Guest Accounts portlet in the Carnegie Mellon Web Portal (from the My Accounts > My Andrew tab, click the Network > Network Guests link). If you do not have access to this portlet, the Network Guests link will not be visible in the portal.  Please contact the Help Center at x8-HELP or by sending email to accounts@andrew.cmu.edu to request access.

Suspension process: The expiration date is set when the account is created. A Network Guest account can be active for anywhere from 1 to 90 days. At the time of expiration, the Network Guest account will be deleted and the password will be reset. If you need to renew this account, please talk to the account administrator or send mail to accounts@andrew.cmu.edu.
