Suspensions

Account owners and sponsors are sent a suspension warning prior to the account suspension deadline.  The suspension policies which apply to an account vary depending on the owner's affiliation with the university. Suspension details for each account type are included in the Types and Entitlements page for that account type. This page will help you understand why you've received the suspension warning, what will happen to the account and data it contains upon suspension, and what options are available to you.

What to do if you have multiple affiliations
Many people at Carnegie Mellon are both students and staff members at various times during their stay at the university. Your account will not start the suspension process until you loose both affiliations. If this applies to you, the policies for your most recent affiliation apply. Staff members who take classes, unless they are part of a degree program, are treated as Staff / Faculty, not Students. Students who have part-time or work-study jobs at the university are considered Students, not Staff / Faculty members.
