File Storage

Campus affiliates are allotted server space for file storage and sharing. Depending on where you need to access files from or who you want to share with, a number of options are available to you.

AFS

The Andrew File System (AFS) provides secure file storage that is backed up daily and accessible from any computer with an Internet connection and secure transfer software.

Box Cloud Storage

Box is a cloud storage service that allows individuals to access files from any device with an Internet connection. Box can be used to share files and collaborate with any individual with an email address. The Box Sync service allows file syncing between multiple devices, i.e. between a computer and phone or tablet.

MyFiles and Sandbox

Storage options known as MyFiles and Sandbox are available within clusters. MyFiles storage is accessible from any cluster computer and from remote locations using Virtual Andrew. Use the temporary Sandbox space when working from a cluster computer with large files where local storage may improve performance.
