David Baisley
David is the Director of Infrastructure Services and Applications Integration Services (SAIS) at Carnegie Mellon University. In this role, David leads the groups that provide foundational infrastructure services and applications used for the university's academic and administrative missions. Under David's leadership, SAIS’ goal is to provide the right technology at the right time to enhance the value of information technology for the
global University environment.
David's tenure at Carnegie Mellon has included positions in release engineering, management of the Services Development Group, and Assistant Director of ISAM. Prior to his years at Carnegie Mellon, David held various roles in Academic Computing at Columbia University. He led the Academic Technologies group, managed user services and evangelized the use of information technology on the campus.
Columbia University is also his Alma Mater where he received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
David is deeply interested in developing innovative methods of systems integration as well as the preservation of computing technologies for future generations.
