Cynthia Mills

Cynthia Mills is the CIO at Carnegie Mellon’s Qatar campus in Doha where she is responsible for all Computing Services on-site operations. Cynthia leads a sixteen person staff in Qatar; they work in close collaboration with colleagues in Pittsburgh to maintain synchronized infrastructures between the two campuses.

Prior to her tenure at Carnegie Mellon, Cyndi provided hands-on engineering and leadership to innovative companies in government, commercial, and international markets for over twenty years. Her contributions span product and service management, implementation, operations, and business development with expertise in: Internet security, electronic commerce, accounting and settlements, network protocols and event management. Cyndi is fluent in German, speaks some French and Dutch, and has a talent for other languages.
