Parking
Parking on campus is limited. Please plan to arrive early.
Parking will be available in the following campus locations throughout the weekend. Parking is free except where noted. Refer to the campus map [.pdf] for locations.
- East Campus Garage
- Doherty Lot
- Morewood Lot
- Collaborative Innovation Center Garage
$4 first hour, $2 each additional hour, up to $16 - Gates Garage

Additional Street Parking
The following streets have metered parking spaces. Meters are monitored on Saturday by the City of Pittsburgh Police and parking violations may be ticketed. Please follow posted regulations. Meters are not monitored on Sundays. Refer to the campus map [.pdf] for locations.

Shuttles
Complimentary shuttle service will be available between campus, the Gates Garage, the Collaborative Innovation Center Garage, the Dithridge/Software Engineering Institute Garage and off-campus diploma ceremonies on Sunday only.
7 – 11 a.m. and 12:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Shuttles will run continuously between campus, the Gates Garage, the Collaborative Innovation Center Garage and the Dithridge/Software Engineering Institute Garage. The pick-up location is outside of the entrance to each garage; guests will be dropped off in the UC circle.
12:30 – 5 p.m.
Shuttles will run continuously between campus and all off-campus diploma ceremony sites (except Heinz Field/Entertainment Technology Center and Rodef Shalom/Information Networking Institute). The pick-up/drop-off location is at the corner of Forbes and Morewood Avenues, in front of Cyert Hall.

**Traffic Advisory**
Outbound Squirrel Hill Tunnels closed May 17 - 20
Please be aware that the eastbound Squirrel Hill Tunnels along I-376 East will be closed for construction from Friday, May 17 at 10 p.m. to Monday, May 20 at 6 a.m.
If you are traveling from the east to campus, this closure should not impact your route to campus. However, there may be additional traffic in the Oakland area as a result of people using the detour route. Departing from campus and heading east will be impacted. Expect delays and allow extra time for your post-commencement plans.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will detour traffic through Regent Square.
Detour Directions from Carnegie Mellon's East Campus Garage to I-376 East
- Turn right onto Forbes Avenue.
- Turn right onto South Braddock Avenue.
- You can access I-376 East in Regent Square.
Alternate Detour (in case of significant congestion)
- Turn left onto Forbes Avenue.
- Turn right onto Morewood Avenue.
- Turn right onto Fifth Avenue and continue east.
- Turn right onto Penn Avenue and continue through Wilkinsburg.
- Make a slight right onto Ardmore Boulevard.
- You can access I-376 East in Forest Hills.
