Directions
Getting to Campus
From the North and Northeast
- Take I-279 South to PA-28 South or I-579 South to cross the Veterans Bridge.
- Follow signs toward I-376 East toward Monroeville. This will take you to the Boulevard of the Allies.
- Take the Boulevard of the Allies away from downtown Pittsburgh, into Schenley Park.
- After crossing the bridge into the park, take the second ramp on the right (marked by a big orange sign saying "Oakland").
- Follow the ramp and cross the Panther Hollow Bridge, then bear left at the three-way intersection and go past Phipps Conservatory.
- Turn right on to Frew Street. A small driveway on the left (marked "Roberts Drive) will lead you to the Gates Garage.
- If you'd prefer to park in the East Campus Garage, continue on Frew Street and make a left on to Tech Street.
- At the bottom of the hill, turn right on to Margaret Morrison Street.
- Follow this street to the traffic signal and turn left on to Forbes Avenue.
- The entrance to the East Campus Garage is reached via a driveway on the left, just past the garage and opposite Devon Street.
From the South and Airport area
- Take I-376 East and continue through the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
- Cross the bridge and take the right ramp to continue on I-376 East toward Monroeville.
- Take Exit 72A Forbes Avenue/Oakland.
- This will take you directly to campus. The entrance to the East Campus Garage is reached via a driveway on the right, just past the Forbes Avenue and Morewood Avenue intersection.
- If you'd prefer to park in the Gates Garage, take Forbes Avenue to Margaret Morrison Street and turn right.
- Turn left on to Tech Street.
- Turn right on to Frew Street.
- Turn right on to Roberts Drive.
- Bear left at the stop sign and continue down the hill. The entrance to the Gates Garage will be straight ahead approximately 100 yards beyond the stop sign at the bottom of the hill. A shuttle will be available to transport guests to Gesling Stadium.
From the East/Monroeville
- Take I-376 West toward Pittsburgh.
- Take Exit 74 Squirrel Hill.
- Off the exit ramp, turn left on to Forward Avenue.
- As the first traffic signal, bear left on to Murray Avenue.
- Continue up the hill and turn left on to Forbes Avenue. (There will be a Rite-Aid on your left).
- This will take you directly to campus. The entrance to the East Campus Garage is reached via a driveway on the left, just past the garage and opposite Devon Street.
- If you'd prefer to park in the Gates Garage, take Forbes Avenue to Margaret Morrison Street and turn left.
- Turn left on to Tech Street.
- Turn right on to Frew Street.
- Turn right on to Roberts Drive.

From the West/Ohio River Valley
- Take PA-65 South, Ohio River Boulevard, toward downtown Pittsburgh.
- As you pass Heinz Field, take the right lane toward I-376 East/Fort Pitt Bridge to cross the Fort Duquesne Bridge.
- Get in the second lane from the right and follow signs toward I-376 East toward Monroeville.
- Follow signs toward I-376 East toward Monroeville.
- Take Exit 72A Forbes Avenue/Oakland.
- This will take you directly to campus. The entrance to the East Campus Garage is reached via a driveway on the right, just past the Forbes Avenue and Morewood Avenue intersection.
