The official historian of the Greenbriar Hotel, on the left of the picture, kindly and enthusiastically served as our tour guide. Although he had served in this position for several years while the bunker was operational, he had no knowledge of it until Ted Cup broke the story in the Washington Post. Townspeople, some of whom had been involved in building the bunker, claim that they realized the dual purpose of the Greenbriar's new West Virginia wing.

This photo shows an interior view of the main exterior door. The door was built by the Mosler Safe Company and swung shut with a tremendous bang. Between the top of the door and the ceiling are exhaust fans.
