This is a Members Only and Cost is $20. RSVP by clicking here. Payment will be accepted night of the event (cash or checks made out to CMWA). The cost of $20 will cover beer and appetizers. Any additional money you would like to donate will be put towards the scholarship fund.
Copper Kettle Brewing Company is returning to showcase their new fall seasonal lineup and even share some experimental beers for your to taste. Copper Kettle Brewing Company is a brew-on-premises shop located in the Greenfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. At Copper Kettle Brewing Company, they specialize in helping the public produce single batch one-of-a-kind beers. Each batch is handcrafted by regular folks who love beer so much they want to brew it themselves!
We will meet on campus in the Intelligent Workplace which is located on the 4th Floor MMCH 415 of Margaret Morrison

The Incline Ghost Tour launches outside the lower end of the very haunted Monongahela Incline (the Incline is a short walk from downtown across the Smithfield Street Bridge. Turn right onto Carson Street -- you can't miss it!). From there, we'll lead you to the top of Mount Washington, 369 feet above the city, at a grade of 35 degrees, 35 minutes, on the iconic Monongahela Incline.
We will meet at the LOWER STATION OF THE MONONGAHELA INCLINE. Address: 73 W. Carson St., Pittsburgh PA 15222. (not the Duquesne Incline). If there is interest, some of us can meet for food and drinks beforehand – see RSVP form if interested.

Please join the CMWA for our November Brown Bag Lunch. We have invited Julia Corrin, University Archivist, to share several pieces from the University Archives with us. Among these items will be a Margaret Morrison Scrapbook, an early copy of the Puppet (the old humor magazine), some early Margaret Morrison curriculum materials, and a Commission on the Status of the Needs of Women newsletter.
Julia Corrin is the University Archivist, responsible for the administration and management of the Carnegie Mellon University Archives, located in Hunt Library. The University Archives collects and preserves records and personal papers of historical or administrative important to the university, generated by faculty, academic departments, administrative offices or campus organizations, and make them available for reference or research. She holds a BA in American Studies from Carleton College, and an MS in Information from the University of Michigan. She previously served as the Political Collections and Access Archivist at Arkansas State University.

Over the next week, we’ll be busy preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday. A wonderful time of the year to be with family, enjoy fabulous food and reflect on the friendships around us. The Carnegie Mellon Women’s Association would like to offer a brief time for yourself on Monday, November 24th to join us from 5:00 – 6:30pm at the Porch to enjoy the friendship of your colleagues. Our intent is to provide an opportunity to pause in your preparations and meet more of your colleagues, see those you know, and meet new friends over a glass of your preferred beverage.

||Under the direction of Andrés Cárdenes, the CMU Chorus will join the Philharmonic on Vivaldi’s Gloria in D Major, RV 589. Also on the program will be Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and two a cappella choral works conducted by Thomas Douglas - Morten Lauridsen's O Nata Lux and Ki Mi Tziyon arranged by Robert Page.
The event is open to the CMU Community at no cost. CMWA has reserved 20 seats for this wonderful performance. Please RSVP by Noon on Monday, December 1st.
|CMWA Knit & Crochet Donations Due||Friday, December 19, 2014||12-1PM||Pake Room, CUC||Each year the CMWA Knit & Crochet Club crafts hats and scarves to donate to the JF&CS Refugee Resettlement Services. We donate many beautiful projects each year at the end of December to refugees in the Pittsburgh community. Donations are due to Emily Half by December 19, 2014.|
The CMWA Book Club, Knit & Crochet Club, and Sewing Club will meet throughout the year. Please join us!
