Carnegie Mellon Physicist Measures Energy Released From a Virus During Infection

Until now, only indirect measurements of this energy have been available. This new method, known as isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), is described in the Feb. 5 issue of the Journal of Molecular Biology.
