President Jared L. Cohon

Dr. Cohon has been serving as Carnegie Mellon's eighth president since arriving at the university in 1997.

He's actively involved on a number of boards, including the presidential appointment from Bush and Obama to the Homeland Security Advisory Council. Read biography »

Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) recently named Jared L. Cohon an honorary degree recipient. Read brief »

Elected into the National Academy of Engineering, Dr. Cohon was inducted for his contributions to environmental systems analysis and national policy and leadership in higher education.  Read more »
