Insert a Logo or Wordmark
The logo or wordmark is an image that appears in the upper left corner of every page of your site (such as the Computing Services Content Management System name on this page) and should contain the full name of your department or group. If you would like to use a custom logo, use an image editing software such as Photoshop to pre-size it to the width of 214 pixels (open height) before uploading it to the CMS. If you would like to use a standard wordmark with the official CMU typeface, contact us and we will create one for you (be sure to provide the name of your department or group as you would like it to appear on the site).
You may insert the logo or wordmark to your site by following the instructions below.
- From your site's parent folder, go to _internal (folder) > site-config (folder) > site-config (page).
- Click on the Edit tab, then click on the photo icon as shown below to browse for the image.
- In the pop-up window, select the images folder on the left, then click the Upload tab.
- Click the Browse button to find the logo or wordmark on your computer, then click the Upload button.
- Confirm your selection.
- Submit your page.
Every page of your site within the CMS should now contain the new logo or wordmark. To update every page on the live site, be sure to 1) publish the logo or wordmark image file, and 2) do a site-wide publish to update every page.
