Profile of C-MITES Students
- Students in our summer programs are selected based on academic ability. Most or all of the 20 class
participants will have taken the above-level test called the EXPLORE. They will have applied to the summer
program by submitting test scores, a teacher recommendation form, and a written application form.
Students have completed grades 1-9. Classes have grade levels grouped together; for example, Explorations
in Science is offered to students who have completed third, fourth or fifth grade, while Robotics
Programming and Design is for students who have completed sixth, seventh or eighth grade.
- Students who participate in Weekend Workshops or Steppingstones are equally strong academically. They currently are in
kindergarten through ninth grade.
