Joyprada (“Joy”) Swain
CIPI Research Alumni
Joyprada (“Joy”) Swain is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III College, where she earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management. She received her B.A. from American University in Political Science, where she developed interests and gained experience in international affairs and defense policy.
In her work with CIPI in 2010, Swain conducted research and analysis for the Conference on Preventing Electoral Violence and Promoting Good Governance in sub-Saharan Africa which CIPI co-organized in Accra, Ghana. This research was presented during the March 2010 conference and appears in Preventing Electoral Violence in Africa, the edited volume published in 2011 from the conference deliberations.
