Bio

Victoria Baggio is an undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University who joined the CIPI team in summer 2012. A rising senior, Victoria is pursuing a B.S. in Economics at the Tepper School of Business, and a B.S. in International Relations and Politics at Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her career interests are in development economics.

Baggio is a member of the award-winning Eluma project team, a social enterprise focused on teaching local entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone how to use electricity for productive uses. Drawing on her experience working in Sierra Leone, Baggio’s current CIPI research is focused on U.S. foreign policy in West Africa, with an emphasis on conflict resolution, reconstruction, and development.
