An Expert Preview of the Pittsburgh G-20 Summit

Heinz College faculty members Lee Branstetter, Jendayi Frazer and Robert Wilburn recently participated in a panel session on the Pittsburgh G20 Summit.

The panel of Carnegie Mellon experts shared their perspectives on:

  • the performance of fiscal and monetary policies implemented to stimulate global economic recovery,
  • regulation of international financial institutions,
  • the challenges faced by developing economies,
  • restarting international trade negotiations.

In addition to the three Heinz College participants, the event featured talks by Marvin Goodfriend, Professor of Economics and Chairman of the Gailliot Center for Public Policy at the Tepper School of Business, and Gabriel Sod Hoffs, an economic strategist at Farallon Capital Management. Robert Wilburn, Distinguished Service Professor and Director of Heinz College Washington, D.C. moderated the panel.
