Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Announces Spring 2014 CONNECTS Series
Dates for the spring 2014 Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) CONNECTS series — a semester-long schedule of workshops designed to help students take their ideas for starting a company from conception to commercialization — have been announced.
The first workshop, “Starting a Business on an F-1 Student Visa” will be on Thursday, Jan. 23, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Gates Hillman Conference Center, Room 6115. Interested students should attend, as teams are always recruiting for new talent.
The CIE was created in 2012 to strengthen the already bustling culture of innovation that exists at CMU, and to accelerate the commercialization of university research and innovative ideas. The center is the destination of choice for faculty, staff, and students who are interested in entrepreneurship and creating winning commercial ventures from cutting-edge research and ingenious ideas for the benefit of society.
