Enrique Piracés participates in ProPublica’s Electionland Voting Rights Monitoring Project

On November 8, 2016, Media and Human Rights Program Manager Enrique Piracés participated in the Electionland Voting Rights Monitoring Project, which was organized by ProPublica in collaboration with Google News Lab, WNYC, First Draft, Gannett’s USA Today Network, Univision News, the New York Times, and the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. Electionland covered "access to the ballot and problems that prevented people from exercising their right to vote" during the 2016 election using reports from journalists, activists, and social media. Enrique attended as part of our partnership with Meedan and to better understand the role that media plays in areas related to civil liberties.
