Chemical Engineering Students Win First Place in Poster Competition

Markus Drouven, advised by professor Ignacio Grossmann and Irem Sen, advised by professor Andrew Gellman, along with two other students, have tied for first place in the Ph.D. category for the CMU Student Research Poster and Multimedia Competition held during Energy Week at the Scott Institute for Energy Innovation.

Markus' winning poster was entitled "Optimization Models for Shale Gas Development: A Real-World Case Study."

Irem's wining poster was entitled "Alloy Catalysis across Composition Space"
