-Lavina became the Artistic Director of RASAKA THEATRE (A South-Asian themed playhouse) in Chicago, IL.
 
KEVIN EMRICK (alum Theatre Studies '06)
-Kevin is Artistic Assistant at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City.
 
ALAN KATZ (alum '08)
-Enrolled in the Dramaturgy and Theatre Studies M.A. at Catholic University (where he maintains a Dean's List 3.9).
-House Manager for Folger Shakespeare Theatre, Washington Shakespeare Company and Forum Theater, all in Washington, DC.
- Dramaturg at the Forum Theatre, Washington DC, where he interviewed Jose Rivera
- Directed or dramaturged 3 new plays, including We Fight/We Die by Tim Guillot

ROSE SENGENBERGER ('09)
-will be joining the artistic team at the Cleveland Public Theatre
-Rose was awarded the Mary Margaret Gifford Award for Excellence in Theatre Studies
 
BRIANNA ALLEN ('09)
-Brianna is graduating with University and College Honors
-Awarded prestigious Andrew Carnegie Scholarship, and headed the University-wide gift-back effort associated with this prize.
-Admitted into the Heinz School MAM program with a 50% merit-based scholarship
-Admitted into the MFA in Dramaturgy Program at Columbia University
 
MOLLY MCCURDY ('10)
-Awarded a summer URO Fellowship of $3,300 for her performance piece called Collective Thresholds: A Social Sculpture.

- Research Assistant to the African and African-American Studies Minor
- Applied for a grant with Dr. Norman to do Anthropological research on facebook (methods and meaning)

KATE GOLDSTEIN ('11) accepted a summer Dramaturgy Internship at InterAct Theatre in Philadelphia.

 

ROSE SENGENBERGER (09) has been awarded a paid internship with the Summer Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP) at the Cleveland Public Theatre, where she will work on theatre-for-youth projects with kids from under-served city communities.

 

Alan Katz (08) was accepted into the prestigious M.A. program in Theatre History, Criticism, and Dramaturgy at Catholic University.

  Brianna Allen (09) is one of only four undergraduates accepted into Carnegie Mellon University's Accelerated Masters in Arts Management Program.
  Rose Sengenberger (09) and Brianna Allen (09) were selected to form the dramaturgical research team for the 2008 summer program at the Rhodopi International Theatre Collective (RITC) in Smolyan, Bulgaria.
  Lavina Jadhwani ('05/MAM '06) was Carnegie Mellon University's nomination for the LUCE international scholars program, and is assisting Chicago Shakespeare Theatre's Artistic Director Barbara Gaines on this year's production of COMEDY OF ERRORS.
  Lavina Jadhwani ('05/MAM '06) worked as dramaturg on THE PILLOWMAN at the Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre (PICT)
  Ashley Birt (07) became an intern at the CORO Center for Deliberative Democracy in Pittsburgh.
2007 Breanna Zwart (08) was accepted into the graduate program at the Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University
 

LAVINA JADHWANI (LD '05/MAM '06) was awarded a prestigious LMDA Dramaturgy Residency for her work with the Silk Road Theatre Company in Chicago. She is also directing for the Rasaka Theatre Company, and just landed a job in the Marketing Department at the Steppenwolf!

 

GREG VAN HORN (ENGLISH '07) has received a great dramaturgical honor: he was awarded first alternate for the Northeastern Region KC/ACTF competition for his casebook for our production of AFTER MISS JULIE.

  TIM ISRAEL (DTURG '08) was offered a summer dramaturgy internship at the Rebel Theatre Company in New York City.
 

BRIANNA ALLEN (DTURG '09) was offered a summer dramaturgy internship at the SignStage Theatre for the Deaf in Cleveland, Ohio.

  Timothy Israel ('08) was awarded a summer dramaturgy internship with the Rebel Theatre Company in New York City.
2006 Lavina Jadhwani ('05, MAM '06) appointed Literary Associate/Dramaturg at the Silk Road Theatre Project in Chicago, IL, and works as dramaturg for Lifeline Theatre and Next Theatre.
  Sasha Ludwig-Seigel (’07) awarded Literary Management internship at La Jolla Playhouse, CA.
  Timothy Israel (’08) awarded Dramaturgy internship at Alley Theatre, Houston, TX.
  Ashley Birt (’07) awarded Dramaturgy internship at the 13th St. Theatre, New York City, NY.
2005 Lavina Jadhwani (’05, MAM ’06) awarded second place in the KC/ACTF Dramaturgy Competition for her work on CMU’s Urinetown!
2004 Lavina Jadhwani (’05, MAM ‘06) awarded the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Federation (ACTF) Dramaturgy Prize for her work on CMU’s Arcadia: this is the highest award available to an undergraduate dramaturg in the United States.
