GigaPan Goes to the Ball Game

The latest edition of Sports Illustrated, which hits newsstands on Tuesday, will feature a double foldout panorama of New York’s Yankee Stadium produced with the Global Connection Project’s GigaPan system. Sports Illustrated photographers previously used GigaPan back in April to photograph Augusta National prior to the Master’s Tournament for SI’s Golf Plus special edition. Their GigaPan of the House that Ruth Built, taken during the Yankees’ July 4 6-4 loss to the Red Sox, will be included in SI’s regular print edition, which has 3.2 million readers.
