Where should I stay near campus?
While our office no longer hold room blocks, we are happy to provide a list of local hotels.
Do I need to register? What is the deadline?
Yes, we highly encourage pre-registration, although onsite registration is available. We request pre-registration in order to get an accurate room and a food count. In addition, please note that some events may have a capacity limit. Pre-registration closes on September 20.
Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
Yes, by providing an email address you will receive a message confirming details of your registration.
What if it’s not my reunion year…should I still attend Cèilidh Weekend?
Absolutely! Cèilidh is open to the entire campus community, and we welcome all faculty, staff, alumni, students, and their families to the numerous activities planned throughout the entire weekend.
Am I able to see who else is attending?
Yes, once Cèilidh registration opens (early August), you will be able to view a list of pre-registrants.
Are there facilities for those with disabilities or special needs (including dietary)?
We want to make sure Cèilidh Weekend is enjoyable, welcoming and accessible for all alumni, families, students, and their guests. If you or any of your guests have special needs, please let us know.

Where should I park on campus?
In addition to the East Campus Garage, parking is available in the Dithridge Street Garage (Weekdays: $12 daily rate; $5 weekends & weekdays after 5 pm) and the Gates Garage (Weekdays: $14 maximum rate; $4 weekends and weekdays after 5 pm).
Are there golf carts available?
Yes, there is an inner-campus shuttle that will is available throughout the weekend with stops at the University Center, Purnell Center for the Arts, Doherty Hall, Porter Hall, Hunt Library/College of Fine Arts. Please look for signs indicating the pickup and drop off locations. Should you need individual assistance, please speak with the Cèilidh Weekend staff by going to the Registration & Welcome Area in the University Center.
What should I wear for the weekend?
Attire for the weekend varies depending on the event, although most events are casual. The Alumni Awards are business attire.
What if I have (or witness) an emergency?

Where is the bookstore located? What are the hours of operation?
The University Bookstore is located on the first floor of the University Center. Hours for Cèilidh weekend are as follows:
Thursday - 8:30-5
Friday - 8:30-5
Saturday - CLOSED

Where should I eat on campus?
In addition to the many activities throughout the weekend that will have food and beverages, if you are looking for a place to eat on campus, be sure to check out the Dining Service website
May I use the gym?
Guests may use the athletic facilities this weekend by presenting their Cèilidh Weekend name badge at the Equipment Desk, located on the first floor of the University Center, across from Wiegand Gym. You will receive a wristband and access to locker rooms and facilities, as available (including gymnasium, pools, weight room, racquetball and squash courts).
Thursday & Friday: 6 am-2 am
Saturday & Sunday: 9 am-2 am

Am I able to smoke on campus?
Many areas on campus have been designated smoke-free zones, inclusive of 20 feet proximity to all building entrances. Please adhere to the university policy and the posted smoking areas.
