Jessica Wilson Awarded First Place in Fresh Ideas Poster Contest

CEE PhD Student Jessica Wilson received First Place in the "Fresh Ideas Poster Contest" at the Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Section of the American Water Works (PA-AWWA).  This recognition carries a monetary award as well as an invitation to present her work at the AWWA National Annual Conference and Exposition in Washington, D.C. in June 2011.  AWWA is the premier conference/exposition for the drinking water industry. 

Jessica, advised by Professor Jeanne VanBriesen, was recognized for her important work on the formation of brominated disinfection-by-products in drinking water plants in the Monongahela River in response to rising bromide levels in the river.
