Arvind Murali Mohan Receives Student Research Award at PENNTEC 2011

CEE PhD student, Arvind Murali Mohan, was recently awarded a student research award at PENNTEC 2011, the Annual Conference of the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA). He presented a paper and poster titled Microbial Diversity in Treated and Untreated Impoundments Receiving Flowback Water from Hydraulic Fracturing of the Marcellus Shale that outlined his research relating to the gas fracturing operations in the Marcellus Shale. 

PWEA supports Pennsylvania's wastewater professionals to promote sound water policies and promote public awareness of the need to protect water quality. Murali Mohan is advised by Professor Kelvin Gregory.
