Professor Mario Berges Honored for Best Presentation at BuildSys 2010
Professor Mario Berges was part of a collaborative team whose work, "Contactless Sensing of Appliance
State Transitions Through Variations in Electromagnetic Fields" won Best Presentation by Popular Vote at the 2nd ACM Workshop on Embedded Sensing Systems for Energy-Efficiency in Buildings (BuildSys 2010). The team included Anthony Rowe and Raj Rajkumar of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon.
BuildSys provides a venue for the Sensor, Building and Energy research communities to address the research challenges facing the design, deployment, use, and fundamental limits of these systems.
