Student Employee of the Year-Career and Professional Development Center - Carnegie Mellon University

Nominations are now being accepted for the Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) Award sponsored by the Northeast Association of Student Employment Administrators (NEASEA) and the National Student Employment Association (NSEA).  This is the 16th year that Carnegie Mellon is participating in this award program which recognizes the outstanding contributions of college students who work while attending college.

The contributions made by all student employees are important; however this award seeks to acknowledge the student whose performance is exceptional. Nominees will be judged on reliability, quality of work, initiative, attitude and contribution to the department. Students should have a track record of producing quality work and communicating effectively with, students, staff, faculty, and/or parents.

Student Employee of the Year Campus Nomination Process

The SEOTY nomination process requires the submission of 2 items by February 20, 2015:

  1. The SEOTY Campus Nomination Form [pdf]
  2. A nomination letter describing the student’s accomplishments and qualifications (2 page limit). You can include comments from other staff in your nomination letter.

All nominated students will be recognized and honored at the Student Employee Appreciation Lunch on April 8, 2015.  The student employee selected as the Carnegie Mellon’s Student Employee of the Year 2015 will be announced at the lunch and will receive a monetary award of $100.00.  This student will have the opportunity to move on to district, regional, and national consideration.
