From the Director-Career and Professional Development Center - Carnegie Mellon University

January, 21, 2013

It is bittersweet news that I have to share in this update.  I will be leaving Carnegie Mellon University at the end of this semester. I have accepted the position of Associate Vice Provost of Student Affairs and Executive Director of Career Development Services at Stanford University. I am excited about this new adventure, but also sad to be cutting my time at Carnegie Mellon short. This opportunity presented itself at an unexpected time in my career as I had ambitions to stay at Carnegie Mellon for a long time and see our many new initiatives and progress through. I was fortunate to have developed a genuine rapport with students, staff, faculty, colleagues, and employers. I will miss you all very much. My family and I have really enjoyed our new life in Pittsburgh and we will miss this city and the new friends we have made here. My last day at Carnegie Mellon will be on March 15, 2013.

We are fortunate to have Lisa Dickter step into the role of Interim Director of the Career & Professional Development Center as of February 1st. Lisa has served the community of Carnegie Mellon University for more than 14 years and will continue to provide outstanding leadership as we launch the search for a new Director.
