Meet the CPMs

lindsayLindsay — Stever

Senior, Decision Science and Global Studies

Hi! My name is Lindsay and I have been a Career Peer Mentor (CPM) for three years.

Over the years, I have been able to explore a couple of different roles, working first with the Employer Relations team, then on social media, and then planning workshops and SOS tabling sessions for interested student organizations. In all of these roles, I found the thing that I loved most about my job is that I got to learn all about different CMU students while helping them achieve their goals. This year, as Lead CPM, I serve as the liaison between our amazing CPDC professional staff and our incredible 11 CPMs while heading up our new Careers for First Years initiative in the Freshman Residence Halls. In this position, I am still able to interact with talented and passionate CMU students while also broadening the CPM impact on campus.

Hopefully I'll see you around, whether in the CPDC office, walking around campus in my CPM SOS t-shirt, tabling for SOS in Wean Commons, or at a program or workshop.

Career Peer Mentors
(CPMs) are student employees at the Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) who assist with many facets of the CPDC’s services.  Perhaps most apparently, CPMs work in the CPDC office during daily drop-in hours and are available to assist their peers with resume writing, their internship or job search, and using online career resources.
