To access Blackboard, click the above "Home/Login", click the "Carnegie Mellon Users" login button. You will be taken to the Carnegie Mellon WebISO login authentication screen where you will enter your Andrew User ID and Password. http://www.cmu.edu/blackboard.

Make the Course Available to Students

Students do not have access to your course until you make it available.

    1. From the Control Panel, select "Settings" under Course Options.

      Click on the Settings link under Course Options in the Control Panel

    2. Click "Course Availability".

      Click on the Course Availability link
    3. Click "Yes" to make the course available to students.

      select the radio button indicating YES next to Make Course Available

    4. Click "Submit".

Helping your student log-on once they receive their ID

Students are not always notified about their Andrew ID and Password.

Finding your User Name:
Go to the Carnegie Mellon directory at http://www.cmu.edu/directory/ to locate an Andrew ID. Type in your name and your Andrew ID will be displayed.

Problems with an Andrew ID or Password:
If your student is experiencing problems with their Andrew ID or need their password to be reset, they should contact the HELP center at advisor@andrew.cmu.edu or 412-268-HELP (4357).

 

Selecting and changing your Andrew password:

    1. Go to http://www.cmu.edu/myandrew.
    2. Click the Change Your Password link in the left column.
    3. Type your Andrew user ID, password, and new password in the appropriate fields and click Change Password. The password change happens instantly and you will need to use your new password upon login.
    4. NOTE:
      • Passwords must be at least 6 characters long.
      • Use a combination of letters (both upper and lower case), numbers, and one or more punctuation marks.
      • Do not use any word or combination of words found in any dictionary in any language.
      • Avoid using any single word spelled backwards or any word preceded or followed by a single punctuation mark such as a "!".
      • It is recommend that you change your password periodically.
