Archive, Export, and Import Blackboard Courses:

Archive Course   Import Course Content
Export Course

CAUTION: Blackboard course archive and export files cannot be read outside of Blackboard. DO NOT OPEN the Blackboard course archive/export .zip files because doing so will corrupt the file for re-importing into Blackboard.

Archive Course >> How to

Archives include all of your Blackboard course content and settings, PLUS student data, work, and grades.

Export Course >> How to

Exports include your choice of all or any portions of your Blackboard course, EXCEPT student data, work, and grades. It is strongly recommended that you back up your Gradebook any time you make significant changes to your course.

Import Course Content >> How to

Select which course materials you would like to import, such as a content area, Discussion Board, tests, etc. from an archive .zip or export .zip file.
NOTE: If you wish to import student data, work, and grades from an archive .zip file, contact bb-help@andrew.cmu.edu.
