To create a Smart View:
Grade Center > View a "Smart View"

- The spreadsheet will reload and display only the data that matches the criteria you selected when you created the "Smart View".
NOTE: You will not be able to select a Smart View until you have first created one.
To view a Smart View that you have created:
Grade Center > Modify a "Smart View"
- Click on "Manage" menu in the Grade Center and select "Smart Views" from the dropdown list.
- The Smart Views page lists all of the Smart Views you've created along with two action buttons (Modify & Remove) next to each item.
- Click the "Modify" action button next to the item you wish to modify, change its properties as desired, and then click "Submit".
- The next time you view the "Smart View" in the Grade Center, it will show only the data that matches the criteria you selected when you modified the Smart View.

How to use a "Smart View" to Manage Class Sections
While Blackboard does not offer a functionality specifically targeted at managing student/class sections, instructors can use "Smart View" to create a display of the spreadsheet that shows only those students associated with a specific section. See how to create a "Smart View" as a way to manage sections.
