Beckman Scholars Research Symposium

The Beckman Foundation hosts the Annual Beckman Scholars Symposium in Irvine, California each year. The two-day, three-evening event, held in July,is the highlight of the Beckman Scholar's undergraduate research career. In the year 2003, the Beckman Foundation extended invitations to the graduating scholars, who are expected to attend to present their research findings, and the newly named scholars from each institution. One representative faculty mentor from each institution will also be invited to attend. Additional information will be provided well in advance of the symposium. Travel, lodging and other expenses for Beckman Scholars and faculty mentors are paid by the Beckman Foundation. In the past, the program has included research presentations by students, dinner and keynote presentations by leading scientists, and a series of informal discussion sessions on special topics.
