National Science Foundation awards Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) site to the Department of Biological SciencesThe Mentored, Cutting Edge Research Experiences in Molecular Biosciences REU site is a 10-week residential summer program that will offer students intensive, mentored research experiences in the biological sciences.

Directed by Drs. David Hackney and Brooke McCartney, it will run concurrently with the Department's Summer Undergraduate Research Program. With NSF support, the REU program targets rising juniors or seniors from small colleges and universities that do not have extensive research programs, and students from groups underrepresented in the sciences.
