Professor William Brown receives the 2004 Doherty Award, Carnegie Mellon's highest honor in teaching
Carnegie Mellon has honored William Brown, Professor of Biological Sciences, with the Robert E. Doherty Award for Sustained Contributions to Excellence in Education. The annual award recognizes contributions to the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs at all levels. Dr. Brown's numerous achievements have included relationships with various degree programs within Carnegie Mellon, the joint M.D./Ph.D. program with the University of Pittsburgh, the Science Van program, the Science Education Partnership Award, and the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Sciences. The Department of Biological Sciences heartily congratulates Dr. Brown.
