Faculty Positions
Imaging Facility Director
The Department of Biological Sciences and the Molecular Biosensor and Imaging Center (MBIC) at Carnegie Mellon University seek to fill the position of Imaging Facility Director. Carnegie Mellon has a long history of interdisciplinary research with strengths in light microscopy, fluorescent reagent development and computation. Research programs of current faculty include the areas of cell/developmental biology, genetics/molecular biology, biochemistry/biophysics, computational biology and neuroscience (see the department website: http://www.cmu.edu/bio and the MBIC website: http://pathways.mbic.cmu.edu/index.html). The Imaging Facility Director is expected to work closely with faculty, staff and students on research projects. The director is also expected to oversee all aspects of the imaging facility, including: microscope upkeep and supervision, facility recharge and equipment procurement. Successful candidates must have strong research experience and an advanced degree.
